Ace and renowned filmmaker Karan Johar who is currently shooting in London for his next movie 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', received summon by Mumbai Police to record his statement over the controversial All India Bakchod (AIB) roast.
An FIR has also been filed against other actors from Bollywood like Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who were allegedly using obscene words during the show. This controversial show was held in December 2013 at Worli in Mumbai.
Recently, an officer from Tardeo police station revealed to a leading media house saying, "We have summoned Karan Johar, which essentially means he will have to come to the Tardeo police station to give his statement. His statement will be an important part of the charge sheet that is yet to be submitted to the court". But Karan who is shooting in London has sent his advocate to coordinating with the police, while Johar finishes work.
After Karan’s statement being taken then other actors like Arjun, Ranveer, and Deepika will also be summoned to record individual statements any time soon.
