Back in 1980 the Subhash Ghai film Karz starring Rishi Kapoor in the lead role hit screens. While the film itself is now regarded as a cult classic, back in the day the songs from the film became quite a rage. Well now decades on veteran actor Rishi Kapoor recently revealed that he was apprehensive about being choreographed by the Showman Subhash Ghai in a song sequence.
Talking about his apprehension while shooting the said song in Karz at an event the veteran actor stated, “I asked who will choreograph the song, so Subhash Ghai said he will. To be honest, I didn’t have that conviction or was that happy that he will shoot the song because he had made action films. I objected a little but he convinced me. He said we will re-shoot the song if I don’t like it.”
Further talking about the final result of the track Kapoor went on to add, “I am happy to tell you, the final version that you see has been picturised by Subhash Ghai with no choreographers. He is among the very few directors who can picturise a song without any help from choreographers”.
